A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Real-Time Simulation Specialist at Siemens Energy, you will be an integral part of our decarbonization mission by ensuring that the Control & Protection systems for the HVDC / FACTS systems will be fully functional before commissioned on site.
The simulation of the High Voltage Components of the HVDC / FACTS - systems like the Switchyards, the transformer and converters and so on as well as the corresponding AC-Systems will be a major part of your daily work. During the Factory Tests of the C & P systems you will execute the tests, evaluate the results and prepare the Test documentation together with the Test team.
How You'll Make an Impact

Planning, installation, commissioning and documentation of real-time simulators
Project-specific configuration and operation of real-time simulators within the scope of control &
protection engineering and factory tests for HVDC and FACTS applications
Execution of factory tests and preparation of test documentation as part of project handling and
development of new plant systems together with the test team
Technical handling of real-time simulators for external customers in connection with delivery and
commissioning on site
Collaboration in the preparation of quotations in the form of concept and customer clarifications
and preparation of quotation documents

What You Bring

University degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power engineering
Initial experience in the areas of power converter technology (HVDC and FACTS), high-voltage technology, digital simulation technology as well as control and automation technology
Knowledge of real-time simulation systems, preferably with RTDS or comparable (such as Hypersim, e-megasim) and of simulation tools, preferably of EMTDC, EMTP-RV and/or Matlab/Simulink
Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
Willingness to travel on business and abroad to deliver the system to the customer
Initiative and motivation to learn, outstanding team and collaboration skills, enthusiasm to dive deeper into the field of Energy Transmission
