Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
3 years of experience in programming with JavaScript or TypeScript.
3 years of experience programming in Java.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
Experience in designing and building reusable/extendable UI frameworks.
Experience with low-level operating systems.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

In this role, you will work with teams to expand Google's central personalization and transparency surfaces and ensure that the solutions can adapt to growing and changing user needs and reflect and integrate with in product settings. You will research and design AI privacy assistance across our surfaces.

As part of a team that manages policies sites, you will plan how to technically evolve this platform to be ready for ever growing demands for quick updates to our legal content.The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

Responsibilities

Implement end-to-end features while working closely with product and design.
Research, design and build AI support for end user experiences.
Design and build an expandable infrastructure for central transparency surfaces.
Invest actively in improving the overall architecture and setup of systems managed by the team.
